Pickleball Near Grosse Pointe | Detroit Pickleball Club
Detroit's First Dedicated Pickleball Club Is Coming to Rivertown
For players searching for indoor pickleball near Grosse Pointe, Detroit Pickleball Club is bringing eight dedicated courts, year-round play, leagues, open play and a true club experience to Detroit's east side.
Pickleball continues to grow across Grosse Pointe and Metro Detroit, but finding a place built specifically around the sport has been a different story.
Detroit Pickleball Club is changing that. Located at 3201 Franklin Street in Detroit's Rivertown neighborhood, DPC is being built as Detroit's first dedicated pickleball club and a year-round home for players from Detroit, Grosse Pointe and communities across the east side.
Instead of squeezing pickleball onto a converted tennis court or working around limited gym schedules, players will have access to a facility designed around the game itself. The club will feature eight dedicated indoor pickleball courts alongside open play, leagues, tournaments, instruction and social spaces.
For anyone searching for pickleball near Grosse Pointe, that means a new option close to home where the weather never decides whether you get to play.
A New Home for Grosse Pointe Pickleball Players
Grosse Pointe already has a growing community of pickleball players. What has been harder to find nearby is a dedicated indoor club where pickleball is the main event rather than an add-on.
DPC's Rivertown location puts the club on Detroit's east side, making it a natural option for players coming from the Pointes. For residents of Grosse Pointe Park, Grosse Pointe City, Grosse Pointe Farms, Grosse Pointe Woods and Grosse Pointe Shores, the club creates another way to play without heading farther into the northern or western suburbs.
And because the courts are indoors and climate controlled, Grosse Pointe pickleball doesn't have to end when Michigan weather takes over.
What Makes a Dedicated Pickleball Club Different?
Plenty of places let you play pickleball. Detroit Pickleball Club is being designed around pickleball. That distinction matters.
Dedicated courts mean permanent pickleball lines and nets, while a year-round indoor facility creates consistency for players who want to make the sport part of their regular routine. Just as importantly, DPC is being built around the community that forms between games.

Grosse Pointe players won't just have another place with pickleball lines. They'll have a club built around the game.
Indoor Pickleball, All Year Long
Outdoor pickleball around Grosse Pointe can be hard to beat on a Michigan summer evening. The problem is everything that comes after it: rain, wind, early sunsets, cold temperatures and eventually snow.
Detroit Pickleball Club is climate controlled and indoors, creating a dependable place to play through every season. Players can keep their routine going in January just as easily as July, without watching the forecast before making plans.
That makes DPC especially useful for players searching for indoor pickleball near Grosse Pointe, whether you're playing multiple times a week or simply looking for something active to do during a Detroit winter.
New Player or Experienced Competitor?
More Than a Place to Reserve a Court
Pickleball grew because it is social. You can learn it quickly, play with different people and meet someone new every time you step onto a court.
Detroit Pickleball Club is designed around that side of the sport too. Beyond the courts, the club is being developed with lounge and social space, a pro shop and amenities that make it somewhere to spend time before and after a game, not simply somewhere to show up for a reservation and leave.
For Grosse Pointe residents looking to meet more local players, join a league, find regular open play or simply build pickleball into their week, the goal is simple: create a place where it is easy to play, connect and belong.
