Detroit Pickleball Club is being created as a year-round home for pickleball in the heart of Detroit. Located in Rivertown, the club brings together high-quality indoor play with the social and hospitality experience of a modern athletic club.
Built for players at every level, Detroit Pickleball Club is designed to be a place to compete, learn, meet people and stay connected to the game. Programming will include daily open play, leagues, tournaments, organized events and opportunities for both recreational and competitive players.
Beyond the courts, the club is being developed around the idea that pickleball is as much about community as competition, creating a destination where Detroiters can play, connect and belong.

Alan Brown
Co-FounderCo-founder Alan Brown was born and raised in Metro Detroit, and has spent his career as a licensed general contractor and top-producing real estate broker with a focus on high-impact development, project management, and property strategy. Drawing on 35 years of active tennis experience and a strong passion for racquet sports, Alan brings both a practical builder's eye and a player's perspective to the facility's design. He co-founded the club to transform a landmark Detroit property into a vibrant sports and community hub, dedicated to fostering connection, competition, and healthy recreation in the heart of the city.
Rahul Baweja
Co-FounderRahul Baweja is co-founder of the Detroit Pickleball Club. A Metro Detroit local for over 25 years with a career spent leading healthcare IT modernization in downtown Detroit, he draws on decades of strategic and enterprise leadership and civic involvement in local youth and educational organizations to shape the vision for the project. An avid athlete with over two decades of competitive USTA tennis and regional pickleball experience, Rahul is deeply passionate about Detroit's revitalization. He co-founded the club to bring a premier indoor athletic facility to the heart of the city, creating an unmatched, community-centered space for Detroiters to connect, play, and compete.
